A coffee cup sleeve — also called a cup jacket, cup cozy, or java jacket — is a band of paperboard that wraps around a beverage cup. It protects the drinker's hand from heat or condensation and provides a large printable surface for brand messaging.

Unlike a fully printed cup, a custom sleeve can be ordered independently and fitted to any standard cup. This makes sleeves a cost-effective way to add brand identity to your cup service without committing to a full custom cup run.

Coffee Cup Sleeve Dimensions

A cup sleeve is die-cut as a flat, fan-shaped blank that follows the cup's taper. Dimensions are measured flat: top edge length × bottom edge length × height.

The 12oz and 16oz sleeves are close cousins. Their tapers are near enough that many coffee programs run a single mid-size sleeve across both cups — the corrugated band flexes to grip either. If you stock 12oz and 16oz cups, one sleeve SKU can often cover both; we will confirm the fit against your exact cups before production.

These are our standard blanks, cut on existing dies with no tooling fee. Share your cup spec and we confirm which blank fits before production. A fully custom blank size means a new cutting die, which only makes economic sense at large volumes — for most programs the standard blanks are the right call. Are cardboard coffee cup sleeves the same as paper sleeves?
Yes — cardboard cup sleeve, paper cup sleeve, and coffee cup jacket all describe the same band of paperboard. What actually differs is the build. A corrugated sleeve has a fluted middle layer that traps air, so it insulates better and has a textured surface; a flat paper sleeve is a single ply, which insulates less but gives you a smoother and larger print area. If your drink is hot enough that a single cup needs help, choose corrugated. If the sleeve is mainly carrying your brand, choose flat.
Do you supply branded coffee cup sleeves wholesale?
Yes — branded sleeves are most of what we ship. Orders start at 20,000 pieces per design, and each design carries its own minimum, so a café running a seasonal sleeve alongside its year-round one is looking at two runs. As a wholesale cup sleeve supplier we normally quote sleeves together with the cups they go on, because the sleeve has to be matched to the cup's taper rather than to its stated ounce size — ordering the two separately from two sources is the most common reason a sleeve arrives loose or too tight.
Can I order blank sleeves now and print later?
Yes, and for a new site it is often the sensible order. Blank kraft and white sleeves ship from standard dies with no tooling cost, so you can open with unbranded stock and commit to printed sleeves once your volume is real and your artwork has settled. The trade-off is per-unit cost: a blank sleeve is cheaper than a printed one on a small run, but once you are past roughly 100,000 pieces the print cost per sleeve is small enough that most buyers stop ordering blanks.
