What Is an Embossed Paper Cup?
An embossed paper cup is a disposable cup whose outer paperboard wall has been pressed under controlled heat (80–120°C) and pressure to create a permanent raised three-dimensional texture. The embossing process is purely physical — no inks, coatings, or chemical treatments are involved — making it fully compatible with food-contact safety standards.
The raised texture serves three functional purposes: it improves grip by increasing surface friction, provides a micro air-gap that slightly enhances insulation compared to flat-wall cups, and delivers a premium tactile signal that elevates brand perception at the point of service.

PE Film Integrity Notice
Embossing depth must be calibrated to avoid thinning the inner PE coating at texture valleys. All samples undergo a 30-minute hot-water retention test before bulk production approval.
